Lately I am thinking in an art piece that consist in a pixel art image, that is painted in the wall with stencils. For that project I need to do a python script that creates the stencils.
Graffiti painting conclusions
I have been doing some testing using a sample stencil with a spray bottle. My conclusions are:
- For some reason I canno spary more with the bottle, it seems that the nozzle can get obstructed easily, clean them after use.
- When the stencil is not fixed to the walls, then the feeling of pixels is less noticeable. It is important to keep the stencils as small regions. When they are very big is recommended to split into different stencils.
- The spray bottle paint a lot of area, it is necessary to cover the area next to the piece with paper.
- It is necessary to buy gloves, so I dont paint my hand, and also I help to put everything on place
- The best nozzle is the yellow one, I should buy more
- It is necessary to give 4 minutes to each layer to dry. Depends on the amount of paint, but in general is necessary to wait. The fresh paint can break the stencil
- Paiting from far away makes the contours better. Is better to make it from far and give more layers to it.
