I want to do a project related to stencils and laser cutter.

Laser cutter configurations for Acetate

The configuration is:

• Hairline width, black
• Autofocus: Thickness
• Speed 90%
• Power 5%
• Frequency 30%
• Thickness 0 mm

Stencil creation process

The process I followed is the next:

• Write a scripts
  • Resize the image
  • Reduce colors
  • Divide into colors
  • Sort the stencils
  • Get contours
  • Add marks for positioning
• Modify the SVG so they are as big as your acetate sheets
• Go to the laser cutter and cut it

Script know errors

• Not possible to use color white
• Would be nice to let modify the files by hand before creating the contours (SVGs)
• Put 3 cortners, not 4
• Upscale pictures after generating, for printing the blueprints
