It is well known that you need to go to university to become an engineer; nevertheless, important concepts for daily life are not teached at school. On the whole, however, it is my opinion that the most important things in life are learnt at school or college. This piece of writing will explain my views on this topic in more detail.

First of all, studying at university is in a whole a fulfilling experience in all aspects, where you study theory, then you practice in the laboratory, and the most important thing, you meet new people all around the world. The most important things in life, as I consider, is to respect all cultures, learn about new topics and being a polite person. The only way to learn these aspects is to meet new people that gives you new knowledges and experiences. Recently, I read an interesting article about this subject. According to what I read, erasmus students are well considered on job interviews because they are colleges that have travelled to other contries which demonstrate a domain in meeting new people, learning new languages and working in new scenarios.

Secondly, acquiring new knowledge consist in dealing with problems. For example, you would learn how to wash your clothes if do it by your own, you need to experience in real life how to overcome a task in order to repeat that action in the future. University is always challeging you with new exercises. When you are studying you not only face with theory problems, also you need to organize yourself for having enough time for everything, and that is a highly-valued skill in companies and in real life.

In conclusion, for the reasons given, I disagree with the statement because school teaches you several aspects that include important things in life. Everyplace where you meet new people is a perfect place for acquiring important things in life, and school or college is a perfect place for achiving this.
